Windows or Linux Phonon version?
Windows
Windows Phonon ver. 5.10. 5.11 use a dongle which must be plugged-in to USB port.
No driver need to be installed. Phonon consists practically of a single executable
file, so one clicks the icon and makes Phonon running.
All results produced by Phonon are text files.
Phonon can be used on your second computer in the sense that you
take off the dongle from the first
computer, and plug it into another computer. Then you need
to copy only text files of your project and you may continue to work.
Ab initio calculations must be trasfered from linux to windows platform.
There are a few programs which facilitates this process.
Linux
Due to many linux kernels and fast change of linux versions it might happen that
not all Phonon Software options run properly on linux platforms.
However, to minimize the risk we advice
to run the Demo-Phonon for Linux, which runs only a few examples, but uses all
needed libraries.
Phonon for linux has three stages of statically linked libraries.
Be sure that one of them works properly.

Some advantage is that ab initio calculations can be done on the same
linux platform.
